The history of the Southern Cross of honor runs deep in the South. Soon after the war, the daughters and widows of Confederate veterans, comprised of an organization called the United Daughters of the Confederacy, put together a medal for Confederate Veterans. This was called the Southern Cross of honor, and you could either receive a beautiful iron grave marker or a medal. Over 70,000 medals were made and given out to veterans.
We have recaptured that symbol in a beautiful key chain--where you can remember the Confederate veteran or your ancestor.
