They succeeded in the establishment of thirteen independent nations and united them within the confines of limited constitutional law. founding, and they would have none of the distant tyranny which trampled upon the law and the Constitution either. When our sovereign soil was invaded by foreign troops with the sole intent of plunder and subjugation, our boys rose valiantly in defense. Our agrarian communities rallied. Though outnumbered 2.5 to 1 and dwarfed by the industrial might of our foes, they incredibly sustained independence for four difficult years. Twenty-five percent of our finest were sacrificed in that ordeal and is has become our duty to remember, not only those who fave their last full measure of blood, but those also wholes lives, families and futures were crushed by a self, greedy and unrelenting foe. Remember, that we may never allow such cruel injustice again and their sacrifice no be in vain.
