There are numerous distortions throughout her account, including the alleged whipping of Mary Norris, Wesley’s claim that his freedom was gained through escape rather than manumission, the fabricated existence of a whipping post, and the unfounded accusations that Mrs. Pryor claims Lee never responded to.
